Basketball England governs the sport of basketball within England and aims to encourage and enable people to participate in basketball regardless of their ability, age, gender, status, disability or ethnic background, whilst lifting the performance and quality of basketball throughout England.
Since 2011, Navitas Sports has contributed to Basketball England’s strategic and performance planning processes in two key areas:
- Strategy – in 2012 we worked with England Basketball in its 2013-2017 strategic planning process.
- Performance – between 2011 and 2015, we worked with Basketball England, and several of their AASE education institutions, to successfully access European Commission funding, which has been used to enhance the Player Performance Pathway by exposing potential elite athletes to European competition and progression pathways.
